A Salmon Tale (A Story Written By Me)

The Salmon cycle Finding Nemo Style

On a windy day in Springtucky, Washington, there was a group of four friends, Jason, Nelson, Angela but we call her Angie, and Koryn. In just a little bit I will tell you a little about each of the characters then they will embark on there journey. They are all Chinook salmon and were all great friends from birth. Jason is in love with Angie but can't tell her, Nelson is the stud muffin/ Angies' Ex, Angie is in love with Nelson but me does not know that he likes Koryn. That leaves me with Koryn. She is kind of dumb and at times could remind you of some one who might not be all there.

=

As the days go by it closer and closer to the time of going out into the ocean. All at once panic and fear sweeps over their faces. None of the little fishes have any idea when they have to leave their redd on their search for stardom. (Something I should have mentioned in the beginning is that they are in a pop group called the chinookies.) Their favorite song they sing is titled Make A Wish. It goes something like this. One day when I grow up I wanna be big and tall like my daddy Brock. That's my wish and if I think about all the time one day soon I will reach the top. Make a wish ooooo make a wish ohhh yaaaaaa. “That song will be famous one day” So they say and think.
=
The day has come. They have reached their fry stage and are on their way down stream. For those who are not familiar with the life cycle of a salmon, the fry stage is the stage in which they slowly start migrating down stream. “why do we have these weird black stripes on our backs?” Said Koryn. “Well.” said Nelson. “It shows that we are matured enough to start our smolt stage.” “Oh.” She says. “What's the smolt stage?” “Are you that stupid?” Said Angie. Well the smolt stage for those of our readers who do not know it the stage in which they go into the estuaries. “What” SHUT UP KORYN. An estuary is where the salt water of the ocean meets the fresh water of the river. The reason salmon go through this stage is so that they can get used to the salt water so they can survive in the ocean. “Hey gang.” Nelson shouts. “Lets go into that ocean and get that record deal.” All at once they all shouts YES LETS GO.
=
One year into their seven year journey has approached. “Wow, We have made it this far, gang., what a trip! Only six years to go.” I think we can make it and get that record deal and beat our competitors. The barracuda brothers. This is not going to be easy for our fish friends, as they will encounter many, many difficulties throughout this journey.
=
As our friends swim further and further out to sea the more scared they become. All of a sudden they run into a dolphin. Now all our friends where scared because they did not know it was a dolphin, but, they thought it was a shark. This made Rikki sad (Rikki is the dolphin). As our fish friends swam away Rikki went after them. Rikki has no friends and was hoping that our fish friends would be hers too. “wait up” she shouts. But they go faster and faster. Then they finally lost her and sat down to have a rest. Little did they know that Rikki was right behind them. She caught up to them, but they were asleep.
=
Fast asleep they were and when they woke up they woke up to a surprise. Rikki was resting right in front of them just staring straight at them. When they awoke Angie almost had a heart attack. What are you doing here they all shout. “I'm not mean”! She says. But your a umm a umm ummm “gulp” shark. “NO I'M NOT I AM A DOLPHIN”. Sorry so so sorry we thought you where a yea. It's okay i get it a lot. So our friends accepted Rikki and asked her if she wants to hang out with them on there journey. “Sure”. So it was official she was a groupie.
=
As our friends went on they told Rikki of there reason for this ocean journey. Rikki was so excited to a part of a group for the first tie that she is willing to do anything to keep them safe. “through think and thin I will be here for you and keep you safe.” Thank you they say to her. Swimming and swimming deeper and deeper they go. They all wish they would find Long Beach California NOW!!! Once in California they have to find Juna the Tuna. Juna is the owner and founder of The Deep Blue recording Studio. (If you haven't guessed it yet Juna can help them get there record deal).
=
The day has come and they reach Long beach california. When they went into the story they tried to find Juna but he was no where to be found. They looked hi and low low and hi and could not find it. “maybe were in the wrong place” they all start to think. So Rikki being the only one who can read goes out side to see what the sign says. She comes back with a sad look on her face. “The sign says Santa Monica's Deep Blue recording studio”. So they all go outside and continue their journey. They finally without hesitation find the correct recording studio. Unlucky for them Juna wont be there for two whole days. They are all so sad because they only have four more year before they have to go back and spawn.
=
Our friends decided to go and play near the shore but that was a huge mistake on there part. “Look Look there is a dolphin over there”. Says a fisherman on a boat. Without hesitating they swim faster and faster to get away. The fishermen catch Rikki and they star to run drive off slowly. Try biting the net they all shout. Out of nowhere another fish comes up and bites a huge whole in the net for Rikki to get out. “Thank you so much” they all shout. “Your welcome” all at the same they ask this fish what its name is. Juna he says. Wow the Juna the one who owns the record company? Yes wow we have been searching and searching to find you and now your here. “come to my office tomorrow and we will meet”. Thank you so much we will be there.
=
Needless to say they went they talk and they got the record deal. Thank you so much we will do you great wonders they all say. I know you will. So for three and a half years they are doing great then they remember they have to go spawn. Oh no fine lets go. “Can I come” Rikki asks. Sure you can come some f the time but not the whole because you will not be used to fresh water. Okay. I just hope I make it all the way to where I am going with you. Whay? I don't feel good. Oh i am so sorry. It's okay. So our friends start their journey back to Springtucky. When they reach Rockaway Beach oregon they decide to rest.
=
The next day they get up and only have one month left to get there. We have to hurry they shout. Well I think Rikki should stop here and not go any further, okay they decide. They go to get her up and she will not wake up. What's wrong they are thinking. They go find a doctor and to their sad surprise Rikki went in her sleep. “Okay we must not stay lets go” Koryn decides. So they left and returned home two weeks later. They lay there eggs and have them fertilized and in the end everyone ended up with who they wanted. Nelson even fertilized Koryns' eggs too. Happy as clams they are sitting around a fire then all of a sudden they all fall over and die. I just want to add that is was what was meant for them. They went out fought for what they wanted succeeded it and so can you.

should assisted suicide be legalized?

When I first read the topic I was about to say NO!!!!! suicide in general should not be legal. Then I started to read the text before I made my decision and I came to a conclusion. I feel they should not call it assisted suicide rather call it euthanasia. which is the correct word for it, and, mind you that sounds so much nicer then suicide. I have had family who have had their life ended using the euthanasia method. I agree that it is okay as long as patient is not responsive. in easier terms. They have a heart beat but do not have enough brain function to speak or think for themselves. I am not sure if you remember terry schivo, but, she was in a vegative state but she still had brain function. her family believed that she would come out of it. Her husband on the other hand wanted to "pull the plug". It ended up being a huge legal case and in the end her husband won. I do not agree with that because she still could have come out of her comma. Euthanasia is where the doctor injects a lethal drug into the IV and in a matter of min they patient is asleep forever. So if you agree with this statement thats is fine it's your opinion and it is not wrong. Same if you disagree it is your opinion and it is not wrong. I personally am against it.

Stem Cell Research

I am not sure if I am for or against it, because I feel strongly about things on both sides. For stem cell research I would have to say it is because of how controlled it is. They are very careful and start the process after 14 days. The reason I mentioned the time is primarily because the heart does not start beating until after 18 days. If the process started after 18 days I would be totally against it. I know I might sound like I am contradicting myself but, I am against it because they send an electrical current through the embryo after they are done with the research. I don't on the other hand care for people who say that they are against it, yet then they engage in stem cell research get under my skin. I never cared for Superman but I did like Christopher Reeves. The reason I mention this is because he was against the topic, yet towards the end of his life he engaged in the subject and I did not understand that situation. So as you can tell I like things for and against it because with any argument there are pros and cons and I feel you should be able to argument on either side. For those who do not know what Stem Cell Research is, it's the process in which they make a baby in a tube that will not last. They wait 14 days before they engage in the studies. At 18 days the baby's heart will start to beat and if they are done before that they terminate the embryo and thats slightly okay with me. The thing I disagree with is if it last longer then 18 days the heart is beating then it is murder in my eyes. They do stem cell research to look for possible cures for different diseases. basicaly that is what this subject is and you either agree or disagree. I just so happen to agree and disagree.

My Favorite Christmas

Until around July of this year I would not be able to answer this question truthfully. I was sitting on my dads couch with two of my four brothers, one of my two sisters, my dad, dog broady, cats crid and stash, oh and my step mom. We were watching old home videos and we came across an old Christmas one. needless to say we watched it. We were ALL there and having fun. I was wearing pants that looked like a soccer ball threw up on me, my little sister was wearing her usual Christmas wear. it included a princess dress and tiara. I just miss our WHOLE family being together. My favorite gift I got that year was almost the same as everyone else. All the kids Dakoda, Nakya, Stephen, Eric, and I all got Power Ranger suits and helmets. That was the happiest I have seen my family in a LONG time and I miss it a lot. If every Christmas was that way then I would be the happiest person on the face of the planet. So that would have to be my favorite Christmas of ALL time.

My Cigarett argument

Yes I feel the cigarette bill boards and giant signs should be illegal. mainly because it gives young kids the impression that it is okay to smoke. Anti smoking bill boards would be outstanding. now a days you see commercials that say things like, second hand smoke kills, stays on your cloths. Things like that. I love those commercials but I would love to see ones that say. Not only can second hand smoke kill you but so can first hand. most kids would look at that and think to themselves that smoking is bad not just being around smoking. do you really want to be inhaling all of these? Now not all of these are in one cigarette. some of them are, some are in menthols, and some are in cloves. now most of you readers will only get a few down and decide to quit but some will read the whole thing and decide not to quite but I would advise you do. So please take care of yourselves. Quit smoking, never start, and please inmorm you children that it is wrong.

endangered species

I feel we should help the endangered species because they are just like us in many ways. Yes I believe in creationism but, we are considered mammals. Think it as if we were about to be extinct would you want to do anything in your power to keep us here? There is only to things in the whole world I am waiting to go extinct and never come back. Those would have to be Spiders and Snakes but only the poisons snakes, but all Spiders. I understand that spiders help our environment but the scariness if them is the reason I don't like them. Now a days it seems like a new animal or species goes extinct. The only way we can stop that is to clean up our environment. I love wales but if we do not change things then they will be next. lean up after yourselves on the beach, look into the program SOLVE. garbage and waste is the main environmental problems. So do your part and help make our generation the clean machines.

How I am Broad Minded

I am not quite sure what it means to be broad minded per-say but I am very liberal and I love to speak my mind. I try not to let what people think about me get to me but as any person I do sometimes but I try to just blow them off and speak my mind. I love to do mind puzzles, the ones where you look at them and you see a shape or face in them. The other things I love to do are the Trick Of The Eyes books they are real fun too. I am not sure if that makes me broad minded or not, but if so then I guess I am.

My Fence Argument Times Dos

I feel that the fence would not help economically. Just think about the flash floods in Arizona. Every once in a while Arizona has huge floods and they could knock out the fence or cause a lot of damage. If this was to happen then it would cost us even more money to fix it then it would to build the fence. On the other hand if we can afford a $40,000,000,000 war we can afford a $2,000,000,000 fence. But we can not keep affording to fix it every time Arizona has a flash flood. It would cost $1,000,000,000-$2,000,000,000 to fix it again in the event of a flash flood. If we build this fence it will take money from the Welfare and food stamps and things to build it. In that event it will take more money from those organizations to build it and leave less for the U.S citizens that are already not getting as much as they deserve if any. So in the long run I feel the fence WILL NOT help the economy.

My Argument on the 700ft border fence.

I feel they should not build the fence unless they make it electrical and make it cover the whole border. The fact that they can come here and get medical, drivers license, and other things Americans have to work for ticks me off. They can just jump the fence and get over here but we can't to get over there. I feel if the fence is electrical then they get to the top and get electrocuted. I also feel that it should be topped with barbed wire to scare them into not jumping in fear of getting hurt. If they did not build the fence but made an agreement with Mexico that they will become citizens that would be fine. I am not racist or anything but, the ones that do not want to take the time to become a citizen should not be here unless they are on vacation. (And that does not mean a permanent vacation.) So yes I think they should build the fence.

Creationism vs evolution in schools

I feel evolution nor Creationism should be taught in public schools. I feel this because it would bring to much controversy and other related issues into the schools. I think the schools should just let us believe what we believe and leave it to that. In Christian schools they teach Creationism. In public schools they teach evolution because it is illegal to teach christianity in the public schools. So if they did not teach any of them in the public schools then the christians in public schools who can not afford the private christian schools will not feel pressured to say what they feel in fear of getting un-constructive criticism by other students.

My Argument On Genetic Screening

I am against genetic screening because you never know what could happen. It could be wrong, maybe the baby would have lived you never know. I can't stress enough how much I disagree when people think that a family would be disappointed if they get a boy when they want a girl. "If both the father and mother desire a girl, wouldn't it be better that they be able to conceive and select a girl. The alternative is that they have a boy and are disappointed. Their disappointment could be reflected poorer childrearing, which would be harmful to the child." Said an anonymous debater. I think that statement is beyond wrong, because if you wanted a girl and got a boy big deal just try again. The other thing I disagree with that is that they will treat it poorly. If they do they deserve to die in prison because that is cruel and how child abuse starts. And if any of you know me then you will know I hate child abuse. In genetic screening if the baby has signs of a birth defect then they could abort it and that is just as bad as murder in my opinion. Just give the child a chance you never know they could live to be the next Nobel Peace Prize winner, President, even if they don't you would love that child as if it was, wouldn't you? I know I would.

My argument on Corpraol Punishment

I am strongly against corporal punishment. Not only is it illegal, but it is sick and wrong. Some might refer to the Old Testament in he Bible mainly in Proverbs, that states. "He who spareth his rod hateth his son, but he who loveth him is chasteneth him betimes," But in the New Testament when Jesus Died on the cross for our sins was all the corporal punishment anyone should ever have. Now I know this is about corporal punishment on children, but in my opinion, that would just make kids want to be alone or afraid to speak up in fear of being hit. I know someone who grew up with corporal punishment and she now keeps to herself as much as possible, because she is afraid she is going to get hit. Now I agree with corporal punishment along the lines of discipline at home only, just not in school. In sync with the comment about in the house is because it will teach a lesson, but only do it if you have given them two warnings. On the second warning show them "the paddle", hand,or whatever would be used. Mainly because on the second warning if you show them they will obey.

My Place To Get Away

A place I can go and just be myself and not worry about having to fit in would have to be Corban College. I love being there because they all love me for me and not because they feel sorry for me. I remember my first time there it was Halloween last year. Everyone was so friendly I almost thought I was in a dream. Ever sense then I go there all the time. Fridays are my main Corban days. I can't wait for every Friday to come so I can go and have the best time of my life.

Where would I Go On A road Trip?

Well I would fly to Maine and from there rent a car. Afterwards, I would go to each and every state and stopping in any and all historic landmarks and cities. All I know is that I want to travel at some point in my life. Before I go I will find out any and all living relatives I have around the U.S.A and go and visit them. After I drive from Maine back to Washington I will apply for a passport. After I get my passport I will go though Oregon and down into California. After Cali I will drive back up through Oregon and Washington then into Canada. I will stay a few days in Canada then drive to Alaska. Once in a Alaska for a will go to Hawaii on a Ferry. Afterwards, you would think my trip would be over but, not yet. I will send the car back to Maine then from Hawaii fly to Europe. From there I believe I will live for a few years then I will start traveling again to all the other continents. Then when I die, all my money will go to my friends and family to fly them out to wherever I died. I want everyone to get some of my ashes then all the rest to be thrown into the nearest Ocean so I can stay traveling after I die.

My favortie Place I Have traveled

My favorite place I traveled has been Disneyland in Anaheim, California. I have been twice but my second time was by far my favorite. This was because of who I went with. We drove this time because my dad is afraid of flying. Don't get me wrong driving was the best part because I got to spend a lot of time with my father. We got to see so many beautiful land spaces and houses. Now the whole trip there was not the most fun. I am terribly afraid of bridges and my dad made sure we swerved on every bridge. Disneyland was amazing, I love the rides and just the surroundings. I love how the princesses and all the other characters are not judgmental and they just love there job. I love Disneyland so much that if I could I would live there forever.

Where In The world Does Kelsey want To Go

Well to answer that question it would have to be Antarctica. Mainly because I want to go some place mysterious, and beautiful. The other main reason I want to go there is because my all time favorite animal lives there. The Penguin, and I would love to live with penguins and learn how they live in person up close and personal. My favorite types of penguins are White-Flippered penguin. This species is the 2nd smallest species. My other favorite species it the Southern Rockhopper. To have a better view of what kind this is watch Happy Feet and Lovelace is a Southern Rockhopper. Those are my two favorite types of Penguins.

Who I Would Want To Be Me In A Movie Of My Life

I would want Miley Cirus to act as me in a movie about my life. The story would be about how my life drastically changed when I was in the 6th grade, and my mom would not let me go to my grandfathers funeral. That is when I started getting depressed and gaining weight. Then it would take off into my moms and mine arguments everyday, and what I am going through now with being heavier then most girls these days. I feel Miley would do great in that part because she takes her character in whatever she does and makes it work for her. Also she will hopefully show me that I can be big and beautiful. So below is a video of different clips from Hannah Montana. They show her bubbly personality and thats why I love her. it is parts of the study-udy- udy episode and it is really funny because it is just the Bone Dance.

My Favorite Animated Film

I would have to say that Sleeping Beauty would be my favorite because I love the whole story behind it. It's really hard for me to describe why I like it, but, Aurora is my favorite princess, and Maleficent is my favorite evil Disney character. I would have to say it might be because they are both in the same movie that it's my favorite. The video is my favorite part of the movie once upon a dream.

My Favorite Female Actress

I do not have a favorite female actress but one I like a lot is Laura Campbell also known as Little Nell. She played in The Rocky Horror Picture Show as Columbia. She was discovered in England at the age of 18. Little nell was a panhandler as a tap dancing street performer. I don't have a lot to say about her but here is a video of the rocky Horror Picture Show. She is doing the Time Warp

My favorite Male Actor

My favorite male actor would be without a doubt Hugh Laurie. Some might recognize him as DR. Gregory House on the hit television show House. Hugh played in many other movies he was even in 101 Dalmatians, even in one of my favorite movies The Borrowers. I happen to like him a lot because one, he is my TV boyfriend, and he is just an all around amazing actor. he was born in England and is vary famous there too. He married a girl named Jo and has three kids, two boys and one girl. Now I looked all this stuff up so I am not a stalker I promise LOL. Or am I????? Well I just love Hugh's all around personality and I feel everyone should watch House and The Borrowers. Especially if you have great taste and want to watch some good entertainment.

My Favorite Movie

I don't have an all time favorite movie because I love all types of movies. A movie I like a lot would have to be the Illusionist I have a knack for magic and illusions and well The Illusionist has illusions in it. The other reason I would say this is one of my favorite movies would be because I love the whole story behind it. Forbidden love and wanting to run away just to be with each other. I guess you can say I love gushy Romance. Would you believe I also LOVE horror movies also? Well I do.

If you ever want to see an illusionist watch Danny Ray. His picture is the Top one.

What I think about Salem, Oregon

Well in my opinion I hate Salem as a city. The people are okay depending on where you are. I have some friends in Salem and they all go to Corban College and I love them with all my heart. Some things I would change about Salem is more police patrolling and less hassling all the people who might be standing in one spot for to long. I also hate the fact that the police downtown around "North Block" on friday nights try to arrest a group including me and Corban students for standing on the sidewalks praying. If they were more concerned about dealing with drugs and other illegal activity then they would leave us alone!!! So that is just about all the bad and good things I can say about Salem, Oregon i would much rather be In Springfield, Oregon.

A Song that fires me up

A song that hits me a lot besides "Concrete Angel" would have to be "At Seventeen" by Janis Ian. Mainly because it represents me as I see myself best. I tend to change the words to at 15 instead of at seventeen. This song brings tears to my eyes every time I sing or listen to the song and sometimes even when I read the lyrics (which at the end will be posted at the bottom of my blog). This song states that at seventeen she learned that in order to get through life you need to be beautiful, and I feel I am not. Janis Ian wrote this song when she was seventeen and was looking at a magazine. She shortly realized everyone in it was a skinny beautiful person and she was not. Everyday I see these really skinny girls who have these really cute guys and they walk by me and laugh. It hurts more then people think it does. Lately I have not been letting it get to me because I learned that I may not be the most beautiful person or even thinest, but I still have friends that love me and they have loved me my whole life no matter what I look like.

I learned the truth at seventeen
That love was meant for beauty queens
and high school girls with clear skinned smiles
who married young and then retired
The valentines I never knew
The Friday night charades of youth
were spent on one more beautiful
At seventeen I learned the truth

And those of us with ravaged faces
lacking in the social graces
desperately remained at home
inventing lovers on the phone
who called to say – come dance with me
and murmured vague obscenities
It isn't all it seems at seventeen

A brown eyed girl in hand me downs
whose name I never could pronounce
said – Pity please the ones who serve
They only get what they deserve
The rich relationed hometown queen
marries into what she needs
with a guarantee of company
and haven for the elderly

Remember those who win the game
lose the love they sought to gain
in debentures of quality and dubious integrity
Their small-town eyes will gape at you
in dull surprise when payment due
exceeds accounts received at seventeen

To those of us who knew the pain
of valentines that never came
and those whose names were never called
when choosing sides for basketball
It was long ago and far away
The world was younger than today
when dreams were all they gave for free
to ugly duckling girls like me

We all play the game, and when we dare
we cheat ourselves at solitaire
Inventing lovers on the phone
Repenting other lives unknown
that call and say – Come dance with me
and murmur vague obscenities
at ugly girls like me, at seventeen

A Song About Me

So I have always wanted to be like my dad but not in all the same ways. We both love motocross, we both love to work on things, and fixing bikes with our hands. But in some ways I don't want to be like him. I love him to death, he is not only my father but my best friend. I know he means well, but when I was in the hospital over the summer because of my ATV accedent it was one of the first times I ever saw him cry. I just felt so bad I've never seen him react that way. I feel it was only because of me almost dieing. I don't want to have a kid and only show emotion of caring when my son or doughter is hurt, or in the hospital. That's why I chose the song Cats And The Cradle by Harry Chapmin. It tells how his son wants to be like him so much but his father was never there and always "blew him off." When his son grew up and went to college it showed how his son started to "blow him off." In the end of he song Harry realizes that his son did grow up exactly like him, and Harry did not realy like it so much. So I want to be like my dad, but not when he makes stupid dissicions when it comes to us kids. Below are the lyrics to Cats And The Cradle.

My child arrived just the other day,
He came through the world in the usual way.
But there were planes to catch, and bills to pay.
He learned to walk while I was away.
And he was talking 'fore I knew it, and as he grew,
He'd say, "I'm gonna be like you, dad.
You know I'm gonna be like you."

And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon,
Little boy blue and the man on the moon.
"When you coming home, dad?" "I don't know when,
But we'll get together then.
You know we'll have a good time then."

My son turned ten just the other day.
He said, "Thanks for the ball, dad, come on let's play.
Can you teach me to throw?" I said, "Not today,
I got a lot to do." He said, "That's ok."
And he walked away, but his smile never dimmed, and
Said, "I'm gonna be like him, yeah.
You know I'm gonna be like him."

And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon,
Little boy blue and the man on the moon.
"When you coming home, dad?" "I don't know when,
But we'll get together then.
You know we'll have a good time then."

Well, he came from college just the other day,
So much like a man I just had to say,
"Son, I'm proud of you. Can you sit for a while?"
He shook his head, and he said with a smile,
"What I'd really like, dad, is to borrow the car keys.
See you later. Can I have them please?"

And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon,
Little boy blue and the man on the moon.
"When you coming home, son?" "I don't know when,
But we'll get together then, dad.
You know we'll have a good time then."

I've long since retired and my son's moved away.
I called him up just the other day.
I said, "I'd like to see you if you don't mind."
He said, "I'd love to, dad, if I could find the time.
You see, my new job's a hassle, and the kid's have the flu,
But it's sure nice talking to you, dad.
It's been sure nice talking to you."
And as I hung up the phone, it occurred to me,
He'd grown up just like me.
My boy was just like me.

And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon,
Little boy blue and the man on the moon.
"When you coming home, son?" "I don't know when,
But we'll get together then, dad.
you know we'll have a good time then.

Impactive Song

I would have to say that Martina McBride's Concrete Angel would be my choice as an impactfull song on communities. Primarily because it shows how child abuse can take a bad turn on someone's life and impact other people, friends, family, and even teachers. Which is why I chose it because every person knows at least one person who is or has been abused, and you just might not know it yet. If you have read my blog about child abuse you should know that it is something I take seriously, and I am doing all I can to make it stop because I have more than one friend who is or has been abused. trust me, I will do all I can to stop it. Listed below are the lyrics to the song Concrete Angle. Read closely, it even mentions a teacher wanting to help but does not speak up in fear for the little girl's life. So please, for me, do what you can do to help stop child abuse forever. Even if it's just calling the cops, doing something, anything, can help.

Lyrics for Concrete Angle
She walks to school with the lunch she packed
Nobody knows what she's holdin' back
Wearin' the same dress she wore yesterday
She hides the bruises with linen and lace

The teacher wonders but she doesn't ask
It's hard to see the pain behind the mask
Bearing the burden of a secret storm
Sometimes she wishes she was never born

Through the wind and the rain
She stands hard as a stone
In a world that she can't rise above
But her dreams give her wings
And she flies to a place where she's loved
Concrete angel

Somebody cries in the middle of the night
The neighbors hear, but they turn out the lights
A fragile soul caught in the hands of fate
When morning comes it'll be too late

[Repeat Chorus]

A statue stands in a shaded place
An angel girl with an upturned face
A name is written on a polished rock
A broken heart that the world forgot

[Repeat Chorus]

My favorite bands

i would have to say that my favorite bands would have to be Green Day, My Chemical Romance , Stellar Kart, Janis Ian, Janis Joplin, and many, many more. The first three as you can tell might look as if they are "EMO" but they are not. Just to get it out of your heads the first two are alternative and the third one is Christian alternative. I like all kinds of music and if I was to name all the different people from all the different genres that I like then this blog might be ten pages long. I like all types of music because then you can have conversations with just about anyone and being a Christian and spreading the word of God on the streets; music is usually the best conversation starter. Not to mention it is something I love to talk about. Music can also be very therapeutic. Let's say that you had a rough day at school, at home with a family member, over the internet, or just walking down the street. You can always go into a room by yourself and listen to music to calm down then try again.

I would say my favorite song from each group listed above would have to be Basket Case by Green Day, Teenagers by My Chemical Romance, Procrastinating by Stellar Kart, At Seventeen by Janis Ian, and Me and My Bobby McGee by Janis Joplin. I guess I enjoy them so much because they all have there own poetic flow and poetry is something I enjoy a lot which is why I love music so much. They all have there own unique stage presence although unfortunately I can never see Janis Joplin in concert because she died real young of a drug overdose. But I still love her and can watch concerts online. So I would say that is my spiel on music so if anyone ever wants to talk about music I am all ears.

About Me

So my name is Kelsey obviously and I am in the fresh start program through Roberts because I wanted a safe yet "strict" school environment and so far it has been and I am also here to earn more credits so i can get caught up on the ones I missed out last year. Academics are vary important to me because without them i will not get to college, be wise or studious and might not become a chef like I have wanted to for ten years. Academics should be important to anyone who wants to get far in life so just as my friend Jenn says "shut up and do the work" so you will be able to get into college and have a life geese.

My family is very supportive of my carer choice because they all say I have great potential even my culinary teacher at West salem high-school last year said I have great potential and I could go far. that was a big boost to me because she does not say that to many students so not only is family and friends important to me but teachers and even people I do not know that I cook for say I have great talent and I love to do so. If it was not for my family I would just give up on everything but then my mom would "kill" me (but not literally I promise.) My family has the upmost respect for me as I they so without that bond my family would be broken apart.

Well I would hope my friends would be loyal and reliable but the one I look for the most in a friend would have to be respectful without my friends I don't know what I would do because when I can not confide in my mom I know I can trust my friends when I have problems and i don't have many close friends but I am happy with the ones I have and even some of my acuantences and my friend Miranda is my all time best friend because I have known her the longest ad we have shared so much the good and the bad I know I can trust her the most and she is a real loyal friend.

My goals in life after high school would have to be to go to college for 8 years 4 at Corban college and then 4 at Wester culinary institute I want to go to Corban to grow more spiritually in God and then Western culinary to become a famous chef own my own restaurant and hopefully meet my role model chef Gordon ramsey
Sincerely,
Kelsey Kerns
